Thoughts on Darren

I was scrolling through a name list came across Darren, and when I said it outloud I loved it.  Thoughts?  Our other top boy names are: Benjamin, Brandon, Adam.

 For that reason I am not a fan of this name or Darryl.

I grew up thinking this was a girl's name.  We had a newscaster named Daryn so I didn't know until I was older that it was a boy's name.  It was actually a name I loved for a girl for the longest time, Darrin Elizabeth.  In fact, the first person I ever met with this name was a female student of mine named Daryn ( I have also had a male student with the same spelling).
