mine usually falls out bad when my thyroid is acting up. is your throat bothering you at all?
yes! i figured it was just post baby! should i get it tested? ive also been broken out is that related?
with DS#1 my thyroid went CRAZY after he was born. Though I also have a history of thyroid issue. You can just call your primary doctor, its usually a quick feeling of your throat, and then a blood draw. If its new, they probably will not put you on any medication, since its probably just post baby related.
Side note, I have noticed a few things set my thyroid off, the biggest is if I eat a lot of food with High Fructose Corn Syrup, (soda, candy, etc). I know, its extremely difficult to avoid foods with HFCS, but if you drink a couple sodas throughout the day, try cutting it down to 1 or none. That might help you too. No matter what the industry tells you, HFCS is not natural, your thyroid does not know how to break it down.
oh yeah. Post-partum hair loss started around 3 months. I knew it would hapen, but it still frightened DH.
It's normal & you're not going bald. During pg, you don;t shed as many hairs daily so this builds up. You're shedding all those hairs you should have shed months ago.

Shedding all of the hairs that you should have and for some people, even more than that.
My hair is about 70% thinner than it was before. That's a professional opinion, not my own estimation. My hair re-growth also hasn't returned to normal.
Unfortunately, there's very little than can be done to make it better. I was told to wait it out. In terms of slowing what is falling out, I was told to wash it no more than every other day. To avoid pulling or putting any strain on the strands (no ponytails, no pulling it back and no bristle brushing). And to avoid any styling products with alcohol in them.

It's a post-baby thing. Your estrogen levels are what dictate how much you lose, for the most part.
I have half as much hair as I did when I was pregnant. And I loose handfulls every day. I'm pretty sure I'll be bald soon.
