This group is open to anyone who has already gone through donor egg/donor embryo/gestational carrier, is in the process of it, or plan on doing it in the future. 

 

This check-in posted each Tuesday.  If you?d like to be added to this group, please reply to this message, and I?ll make sure to add you for next week.  Welcome to the lurkers!  We know this can be a difficult journey, but we welcome you with open arms.  Let us know if we can answer any questions.

Getting a second opinion in April.  Then I will make my final decision and start looking into what comes next (DE cycle or OE cycle)

I always start out rooting for Vanderbilt (my husband went there), but they never make it too far!  Maybe Ohio State to win.

We are finishing up testing in the next few weeks Apparently I do not need to go to Georgia because insurance will cover my IVF's (up to 6) because of my age and the reason why I have POF (cancer tx) according to RE. We cover donor/agency fees and her blood and psych tests.

We have chosen a Donor <: and hope to cycle this coming Summer!

I am waiting patiently for my 1st ultrasound on the 29th of March to make sure everything is suppressed and ready to go for my transfer the week of April 10th.  In the mean time I am going to go relax at the beach in sunny FLA!

Congrats to svp1537, her girls arrived at 36w3d.  Nora and mom are doing well and going home tomorrow.  Maria is in the NICU having a hard time regulating her breathing and blood pressure but should be going home on Monday. 

Update: I'm feeling great and finally started to feel movement from both the babies in the last week.  DH felt his first two kicks over the weekend!

QOTD: I'm clueless and don't follow basketball!

Update: Not much......still waiting.  We are trying naturally in the meantime though.  Acupuncture + 2000mg metformin + = come on let's O stupid body!!  Today is CD1, we'll see how this cycle goes.

My update is that I gave birth to a baby boy in January. He is perfect, although we had a disaster of a delivery.

My DH wants to try for #2 in the summer with our remaining embies.... as I am still sleep deprived and back at work... I am not sure about that timing!

Update: Almost 32 weeks pregnant.  Getting so excited now that I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.  We are team green, but I have a "feeling" that it is a girl, we shall see!

Update: Thanks to everyone, you've been so supportive throughout this ordeal. I still don't have any definitive results from the MRI. My dr is supposed be speaking with the radiologist tomorrow. The report noted multiple fibroids (not adenomyosis), but my dr still wanted to have a discussion because she wants more info - she said adenomyosis can be very difficult to diagnose. Great!

In other news my HSG came back mostly ok. It was a little unclear whether one tube was fully open, but they are not concerned since I'm not using my tubes anyway and there was no evidence of hydrosalpinx, inflammation or disease. But, some fluid did appear to spill at the top of my uterus, which could be an indication of adenomyosis - the nurse called it a 'crypt'. I have a crypt in my utuerus!

QOTD: No one...I love football and baseball, but not basketball! Too bad because I really need a distraction and there have been mostly repeats on TV and no sports I like!

I have my CCRM consult tonight.  Hope to get some answers or at least end this chapter and move on.  I am considering RBA and Shady Grove right now for DE.  

I don't really concentrate on basketball but I do watch the final four.  So I root for the underdog.

Status Update: Had 2nd ultrasound today & both babies are doing great!!

 

QOTW: I don't really care to watch basketball. Theirs shoes squeaking on the floor constantly drives me insane.

Update: Everything seems to be going fine.  Next OB appt. is 3/31.

QOTW: I don't follow basketball as much as I used to, but I will be cheering on Mizzou (where I went to grad school).

Update: Not too much to update. I broke down and POAS yesterday (8dp3dt) and this morning and they both were positive! Of course I am scared to death, but have decided that, until I know different, I am pregnant and thrilled about that!!!
