Early 1st U/S? What was the heart rate?

I had my first u/s this morning. The fetus was measuring 6w3d, as it should be. But the heart rate was only 101. My doctor wants us to come back in 10 days to recheck and make sure its faster.

I'm curious what others early u/s heart rates were and what your docs said about them?

I had one at  6w2d and the heartrate was 95. They said it was a little low but it was fine, technically there did not even need to be a HB yet. I went back in a week ad it was  up to 120. At my 10 week appt it was 152.

I went in at 6w4d and it was 124...my ob said there's a pretty large range of what's normal, so I wouldn't worry.

Cool, thanks for the info. That's exactly what I am hoping for. I was so worked up that we might not see a sac, or a heart beat. But then when we saw it and it was slow, I wasn't prepared for that scenario. Just one more thing to worry about.

I just had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and 5 days, and they said the norm for that time was between 110 - 160 and my little one was 146. we are so relieved to see it!

i wouldnt worry too much, alot can happen in a few days this early on!

my first U/S was at 6 weeks and the HR was between 90 - 100, which doc said was normal for that gestational age. he said to be concerned if it didn't go up the next week. a week later it was 135. at my NT screen (11w4) it was 173. i wouldn't worry about it.

My 1st u/s was about 6 weeks and the babys hb was about 120. I've heard that's perfectly normal. I wouldn't worry about it.

My first was at 6w 6d and the heartrate was 120 BPM.  The doc said that was perfectly normal.

We had weekly u/s from 5-8 weeks. The heart rate was 80 at 5w4d, 117 at 6w4d, 161 at 7w5d and 174 at 8w6d.

My doctor said it was more important that the heart was beating and less important at what rate it was beating so early on. It's kind of like betas. The number is less important than an increasing number.

The cool thing is that (at least for us), we could barely see LO during the 6th week U/S, but the 7 and 8 week u/s pictures were adorable! It's amazing to get to see weekly development. Take advantage of it whenever you can

I have just been through this too!  I had some spotting over the weekend, so they did an US at the ER.  I measured 6w0d and they said they were worried b/c the hb was only 96 bpm.  I had my first OB appt today, 2 days later and it was already 115.  They told me there is a large range of normal also.  Remember the heart is just getting warmed up, so try not to worry!  I'm sure everything will be fine at your next US!
