So we had our 9m appt today. Tyson is 20lb and cam is almost 23! I have huge kids LOL!Anyway...I wasn't prepared for no shots, but that was a bonus! Our Pedi told us to start them on 2% milk at 11 months. I thought it was whole milk at a year!? Anyway, maybe my kids have no problem growing and putting on weight so they don't need whole? What are you all doing? I have tried to insert an image from their most recent photo shoot. Let's see if I can make it happen. I am a technology person for my school system And I can't seem to figure out the darn bump on my iPad!
Re: 9 month dr appt and q
Aw, your babies are adorable! Such a cute picture
My girls were a bit smaller at their 9 month appointment (just over 18 lbs and 19 lbs). My pedi said we'll start whole milk at a year, so we're still on formula for now. I'll wait until our 1 year check-up to discuss the transition to milk.
My boys were both about 22 lbs at their 9 month appointment and our pediatrician said we would talk about starting whole milk at their 12 month appt and to just keep doing formula until then. My boys are 32 weekers though so that could have something to do with it, not sure.
I've never heard of not starting with whole milk either but maybe your pedi has some reasons why she likes to have babies do that. If you're unsure, maybe you could call and just ask what she feels the benefits of the 2% vs. the whole milk are??
Love the picture, they are adorable!!
