I'm so tired of boys names being co-opted for girls! When will it stop? There will be no names for boy left pretty soon. Ok, that was dramatic but Jude is one of the names I'm considering.
I want parents to stop using all the good boy names on girls! DH and I have decided that our first son will be Jude, and I don't want it to be a girl name by then.
One of the moms on the May board (I think that's where I saw the signature) is naming her daughter Micah Jude. Sigh. What names will still be considered masculine in a decade or two?
Married to my best friend 6/5/10
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
I'm guessing I am the only one here who doesn't mind it. Camille Grammer's daughter is also Jude. But then again, I also love Elliott for a girl.
I'm really not a fan of Jude on a girl at all. And I like boys names for girls.
I think Camille's daughter's name is actually Mason - which IMO is horrible horrible horrible on a girl!

I've seen Logan Jude. Didn't know it was a girl, at first.
Re: Jude on a girl
Stupid. Leave it for the boys, please.
By the way, that picture of your little boy Apollo makes me want a newborn immediately!
I wouldn't mind it as a nn for Judith, but not as a given name for a girl.
I like unisex names, but I don't see this as a unisex name at all.
I think that's the issue. It's "close enough" to a girl's name to sound "feminine" to some people. Hence... another one bites the dust.
Soon the only boy names that will be left will be REALLY manly names, like Trucker and Steel.
