Baptism invites?

Do you need to send out invites for a baptism or no? It is just close family members so I feel like there is no need when I can just call them and let them know and get a direct answer if it works for them or not. All the baptisms I have been to I have been just told about.

that is all we have done, no need to waste money on sending out invites in my opinion!

I'm sending invites but even with close friends/family only it's still probably about 80people.

We sent out invitations.  Shutterfly has some cute ones for cheap.

we sent out/gave out invites. I always like to have an invite to stick on the fridge/take with on the day of with all the info in one place.

im sending out invites...mainly bc of the party afterwards.

I sent out invites!  We invited about 60 adults and 15 children though, so not really small!
