I don't know what is going on. I was doing fine when I pumped at work (2 times/day 1 at home at night), getting at least 5 oz per session. Now this is week two where I am struggling to even get 3-4 oz.
I even started pumping on one b while feeding M with the other (fuller one).
I used the more milk plus, it worked for a day and then stopped.
I realize stress can be a problem, but it is so hard NOT to stress when you end up with this problem.
ideas?
Re: Still have supply issues. BFing help.
Have you done all the things that kellymom and the other nesties recommend??? Straight fenugreek-3 pills 3X day, steel cut oatmeal, tons of water? Do you/can you pump at night--every two hours that your LO is sleeping?
It IS VERY stressful to not Know how much bf babies are getting, if what you pump is hw much they are getting, to not freak out over the whole thing!
I did all of the above (overnight pumping is a biotch) and it helped my supply.
I hope it works out for you--big hugs!!!
Drink a ton of water and have a guiness. It helps with the leche and helps you relax.
that is what it takes? oh man. at my night pumping session (yes, only one before I head to bed). I keep it on for 30 mins at least.
Sometimes, I don't get let down on one of my b. Can the pump be a problem? I've adjusted the levels, adjusted the shields by taking them off and on, everything. ugh.
Try to relax too... I had similar problems - I was putting so much pressure on myself to pump. It's a lot of work on top of being breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Just take it easy and relax!!!
GOOD LUCK!
