how is your lo with the helmet?

I have been meaning to post.  So far our experience is very mixed.  We got off to a good start but then we went down hill on day 3! 

Last night was the first time she slept with it on at night and she whined and cried in her sleep from 7:30 pm until Midnight.  I finally took it off so she could get some sleep and she was drenched in sweat.  I gave her a quick sponge bath with a cool wash cloth and then I rocked her.  She only ended up sleeping 4 hours last night.

I wish I had just taken the whole week off!

How are you guys doing?  Are you up to 23 hours a day?  How is you LO handling it?  Have you gone out in public yet?  How did that go?

How are you guys doing? WE are good. It did not help that he was getting his first set of teeth that same week we started. Last night we did not give him any motrin and he actually slept from 7:15 to 5 that was huge since he has been a mess with the helmet and those teeth  Are you up to 23 hours a day?  We followed the exact way they told us. So yup he is in it for the long run now. How is you LO handling it?  He is a trooper at first he was a little bit annoyed. Have you gone out in public yet?  Yes and it was not as bad as i thought. I even forget he is wearing it when we go out now. How did that go? People say he is cute. Just remember people can be rude and stare but it does get better

Have you tried changing her clothes at night to thinner clothes?

Last night she was in her thinnest set of PJs.  I think tonight I may just put her in her T shirt and see how that goes. 

Tomorrow is our first 23 hour day.  Hopefully we'll find our groove soon!
