Let's talk panties

How're they hanging ladies? For some reason I feel like mine are falling off my hips. Maybe it's because I'm starting to tilt forward or something. Don't think I need a bigger size. Anyone else having undie issues?

Re: Let's talk panties

  • Mine are too small around the hips so I had to go up a size(which are too big and end up cockeyed and twisted), I wish they made a belly band for panties cause it is spendy to replace them. Wink

  • For some reason, I saved the ginormo granny panties that I wore at the end of my last pregnancy and for the first few weeks PP. I found them when I got out my box of maternity clothes....and OMFG, was that depressing. Those things were enormous.

No undie issues yet...but I'm sure it's coming. And far too soon for my liking.

Oh, and I threw those monster panties out. They scared me.

  • I've been gaining in my waist, but losing everywhere else (yay food aversions!) so they are a wee tight around my belly, but lose in the butt and thighs... LOL and I will not be ashamed to admit I wear granny panties. For some reason I never graduated to sexy undies (except on sexy nights lol)

  • So far so good for the most part, the only thing is my low rise ones are riding a little too close to too low if you know what I mean.
  • I've had about 37 psycho freakouts about underwear this week.  LOL!  It's driving me INSANE! They're not tight, but my belly is getting bigger so they keep sliding down.

Normally I'd just go commando but that's not even an option with all the discharge I've had.

  • I'm so glad you started this thread! I wear normal rise undies (not low) and they cut me off now right in the middle of my tummy and are getting too tight. My concern with low rise, is that they'll roll down and also be uncomfortable. I was going to go to wal-mart one of these days to see if they have special maternity undies or something. Even something with a bit more stretch would probably be just fine.

  • Come on girls you need to go out and get maternity panties!  You think it feels good to put on maternity jeans, wait until you try on these bad boys.  And they're not all granny panty, they make bikini, thong, etc.  Whatever your style.  I saved them from my first pg and got some more last week and am so much more comfy.  They're not really bigger, just alot stretchier or something, less binding.  I have some from Motherhood and some from Old Navy.  Get some today!

OMG  ::dead::  I found some of mine too and my eyes boggled.

I have a few pairs that are feeling a little loose, so I can see some panty-buying in the future.  For now things still fit good!

  • I bought a bunch of boy shorts and haven't looked back. I LOVE THEM!

  • I wore thongs exclusively preBFP but those were thrown out the window weeks ago!  I have some old bikini undies but I don't like the way they dig in, my lower area is very sensitive.  I bought some grannies in the next size up and they are heavenly, LOL.

I also have one pair of low rise bikinis from VS with the lacey wasteband and those work really well too so I'm thinking of buying more in the next size up.

See I am kinda the opposite. I always wore thongs just because of the panty line dilemma but as soon as I got home would throw on boy shorts to lounge around in. Now, full panties and boy shorts are REALLY uncomfy and I choose thongs every day....

  • I've honestly just stopped wearing them unless I'm wearing a skirt or dress where my knees are visible (you never know) and for that I have some maternity panties.

But with DD I was so uncomfortable and sweaty and irritable that having something extra on my skin really just PISSED me off lol. And I've kind of stuck with it since. Now whenever I put on underwear it's like an "angry switch" flips on inside of me lol.

  • I went and invested in some new ones, larger size hip ones from VS. They have this clear non slip stuff in the waist band and legs which is nice. wish I could remember which ones they are.

  • I stuck with my usual for my pregnancy with DD and am planning on doing so with this one....they are from JC penny and are sort of micro-fiber and lower rise bikini. (Ambrielle seamless bikini with lace).

Maybe it's my boyish figure (read sorta square and not 'hippy') but I've never had a problem with fit even full term!
