I keep trying to feel my uterus when I'm laying on my bed but I don't think I know what I'm feeling for. I feel around about an inch or two above my pubic bone and when I press down a little it feels weird and uncomfortable. So my question I guess is, can you feel yours or how would describe how it feels? I just though 2nd timers are supposed to "pop" faster but don't see a difference from the last pregnancy and she's only 10 months old.
Re: Feel uterus 2nd time moms?
Sorry for not responding to that other thread yesterday, I went to bed after my last post
I can definitely feel my uterus. Maybe I can tell the difference because it feels so firm compared to the fat on my stomach, but when I feel just above my pubic bone it feels...firm. I don't know how else to describe it! I guess it's like I'm pushing on muscle rather than fat, but that the muscle is closer to the surface than I'd expect it to be, does that make sense? Also, if I put two fingers there and then roll them towards my belly button I can feel where the firmness drops off, kind of like when you're further along with your first and the docs are measuring the height of your fundus. I'm sorry I'm not more articulate about it! It's a hard sensation to describe, kind of like trying to tell someone what salt tastes like.
This is what happens to me when I try to feel for it. It makes me feel crampy, maybe I should just stop, lol.
