Extremely Dry Eyes: Anyone Else?

So I think that is what is going on ...

I wear contacts regularly, but in the last couple of weeks, I can't wear them more than one day in a row or they get all crazy bloodshot ... I am thinking it is just that they are really dry and irritated

I know it isn't an infection of some sort, I took a complete break for several weeks (totally cleared) and replaced contacts, lenses, and my solution.

Anyone else?  Or alternately, anyone have other ideas?

Re: Extremely Dry Eyes: Anyone Else?

  • This happened throughout my pregnancy with Sarah, and while I was breastfeeding.  Both demand a lot of fluid from you, hence why your eyes feel dry.  My optometrist said it was normal.  I swear some days it was like I had to peel my contacts off my eyes.  Uncool.

  • yes! I didn't correlate it pregnancy at all though! I take my contacts out the second I get home these days it is so bad, but I never had issues like this before (been wearing them a good 13 years). I cannot work on my computer at work with my glasses on or I get headaches so I deal with the dryness and use drops throughout the day. very annoying

  • Me too. I never had problems with dry eyes before pregnancy. It's driving me nuts!
