consignment worth it?

Ok so I realized that the consignment sales are starting this weekend (belatedly) and I missed any drop off dates to sell stuff anywhere near by. I have like 5 or six HUGE tubs of clothes and such to sell. Is it worth going through and tagging and hanging all those clothes or should I just list them on CL for sale by the bucket? It would take me several day of sorting to get them ready for sale, and that's if someone else was taking care of the kids and I didn't work nights.

It is in my area.  I have been prepping in advance.  I separate the clothes that I know will sell from everything else.  I just donate onesies and lower priced items.  I have a ton that has never been worn with tags.  I feel more comfortable taking the time to consign than having to deal with people I don't know on Craigs List.

How much do you get back? I think its worth to sell. Even if you don't consign this sale, maybe be ready for the next one. I always at least break even. For example, a past sale I spent $85 on summer spring clothes for the boys and a few toys/ books. Well I also made $83. So I broke even. it was well worth the time to me to save that much money. But if you just don't have the time then you don't have time ya know?
