...at your anatomy scan?
The reason I ask is that ours is this Friday. I'll be 18w 4d at that point. There are a few people with whom I work who have had twins or who have twins in their families. Almost every one of them has warned me in the past week that I might not be able to see one or the other (as far as the sex is concerned). I was aware...just like anyone having a singleton, the babies have to cooperate at the time of the scan.
Is it really that much tougher with twins to be able to see both? Were you able determine the sexes for both/all of your babies at your anatomy scan?
TIA!
Re: Could you see both/all babies...
They could tell both were boys at our 16w scan. I think it really depends on the baby and if they are being shy that day or not and not that you are carrying 2.
Thank you ladies! I drove home today almost feeling crazy that I had been hoping to see both. I'm not sure why everyone kept mentioning it, but I was definitely hoping it was more about what the babies were doing and less about the fact that there are two.
Thanks so much!
We could see both babies clear as day - and my scan was at 18w 2d. DS was all about showing off the goods, but DD was a little bit more shy until she decided DS was getting all the glory Good Luck on Friday - make sure to update us!!
Thank you all for sharing your experiences! We are keeping our fingers crossed that our LOs will be cooperative. After our appointment, we're heading out of town for the night, just to get away for an evening and (hopefully) celebrate our news with each other. I let you know when we get back!
Thanks again!!
Our tech found the sexes right away for both babies, good girls they were cooperating! GL!
