WW Day 1

I am doing WW with my mom. I am trying to get on a healthier eating kick. I have been BAD b/c I have been in such a funk these last months. I hope my body adjusts quickly b/c I am SO hungry. Maybe b/c I am thinking about all of the horrible things I want to eat but shouldn't. My favorite spin instructor has a class at noon so hopefully that will keep me busy. I hate diets but I let myself go too far.

Re: WW Day 1

  • It does take a week or so for your body to adjust to the change. Just remember to snack on fruits or veggies and make your meals really count.

    Good luck!

  • I was really hungry when I started WW, but I eventually adjusted. I haven't done the new plan, but on the old one I survived on bagel thins, WW cream cheese, 94% fat free popcorn, diet coke, fat free pringles, and Healthy Choice ice cream bars (and small meals of what I fed my family). It worked immediately, so that was good motivation! Good luck!!!

  • Lauren, I started weight watchers today too. In fact, I'm doing a 40 day to fitness goal. Samantha's first birthday is on Easter Sunday and I dont want to have that I still look like preggo look on her birthday.

    Best of luck to you!

  • Thanks for the encouragement ladies!

Donna-GL to you. I am sure you look great already but I hope this helps both of us feel better! We can help each other stay on the wagon.  Colin's behavior made me miss spin so I will have to go later tonight.

  • Good for you - I so need to do this but don't want to diet while I am still breast feeding.  If you have good results, let me know.  I am feeling so yucky lately.  Good luck, I'm sure it is hard at first!

You can do it!  A friend of mine bf'd and did WW.  She was in a wedding and wanted to look good and her son was very young.   They allow you more points (O whatever they are doing now).

What she said.. I would totally try to do WW now while breastfeeding because you already have the added boost of the calorie burn from breastfeeding. You won't have to cut out as much to lose weight ... so it will be easier to lose (in theory). I am not doing WW, but just from breastfeeding and watching what I eat, I am at my lowest weight in many, many years. And I have not seen a hit to my supply at all.

  • Way to go Lauren! The initial hunger does pass but in the meantime, I ate lots of the 0 point items and drank lots of water to try to adjust. Good luck!
