should I worry about getting anything else?

I have my stash ready to go (I think).  Tell me what you think:

24 Thirsties Hemp Duo prefolds

3 Thirsties XS covers

1 Blueberries cover

2 Thirsties Duo Wraps - size 1

9 BG 3.0 with extra inserts (bought used, I think I have 12 small inserts and 8 large inserts)

I would like to get another 12 prefolds so I can do laundry every other day, and I want to get some more inserts (hemp and silk) to use with prefolds if I have a heavy wetter.  Our plan was that our BG 3.0's would be our nighttime/babysitter diapers.  I got a small assortment of covers to see which ones we like best.  I still have 4 weeks until my due date so I have time to get a few more things.  Should I get inserts now, or wait and see what I need?

I think you are good! I would get another 12 prefolds, even just regular ones versus hemp to have as needed. I don't think you need the extra hemp/silk unless you really need it. For nighttime you could trifold a hemp prefold under the BG insert if you need extra absorbency.

 Do you have the extra stuff like

Blue Dawn for stripping/prepping if needed (I just like to have it on hand)

Wipes/Wipes Spray or Solution/Container

Pail Liner or Wetbag

Tall Kitchen Flip Lid Trash Can (works just dandy as a pail

You might want to look into whether a couple of wool covers would work for you.  I've found they are infinitely better at nighttime than pul.  You can find upcycled wool covers on HC and Etsy for super cheap if you just want to try one out once your LO gets here.

Yes.  I made the detergent on the EFF blog and already prepped my prefolds.  I have 10 packages of Nature's Baby Care wipes and 24 Thirsties cloth wipes (I want to see how I like them).  I haven't made solution for wipes yet, but I have the recipe.  I just bought a new trash can at Target for diapers and pail liners should be here on Friday.  I also have 2 snappis.

What kind of prefolds would you recommend for extras?

I also have one Kissaluv's wool soaker in small that a friend sent me.  I have sweaters that I plan to up cycle next week during spring break.  I personally love wool, so I hope wool will work for us too!

You may want to look at picking up a swim diaper or 2 if you plan on spending any time at the pool or beach this summer.  We have the Bummis swim diapers and I really like them.

Other than that, remember you'll need wet bags for home and your diaper bag, a diaper pail if you're planning on using one, CD friendly detergent, and CD friendly diaper cream.

I have regular bleached chinese prefolds and they work just fine
