As a stylist, yikes! That's a long time without a trim. You may be limited because you have a lot of split ends and may need more taken off. My best advice is get an appointment at an upscale salon. A stylist at such a salon will be able to consider your texture and hair. Be prepared to offer guidelines. As a very creative stylist, I love guidelines. It is so much better for me to have someone say roughly what they want and let me customize their look for their face and maintenance level. Tell the stylist the approximate length you would like your hair, how much time you put in to your hair, and any preferences. Good luck!!!!
