Pregnant after 35

Survived my 15-year-old daughter's bday

Well, I've had a list of projects I want to complete and it started today with repainting my small bathroom.  The amount of work that went into that project was so tiring.  Before becoming pregnant, that was something I could do with no problem.  I had to take like 5 breaks then a nap that lasted 2 1/2 hours.  My daughter's party was suppose to start at 6pm and I slept until 4pm!

I have never been so tired in all my life!  Not sure if it's age or the pregnancy, but she and her friends really enjoyed themselves and I'm glad they're all gone.  Boy of boy I don't know what shape I'll be in by the time this LO has parties.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who is exhausted!  I can only do stuff that keeps me up and walking for about 3 -4 hours....anything beyond that and I feel like I'm gonna pass out!!  I just blame it on the fact that I am 41 and I am cooking 2 babies!

  • Add me to the exhausted list - I don't remember being THIS exhausted (but then again, I didn't have as much going on in my life when I was 25 - coming home and napping after work WAS an option).

My husband read somewhere that I was supposed to have MORE energy in my 2nd tri.  He keeps mentioning that.  What he doesn't know is that I had to nap at WORK during my first tri I was SOOOOO exhausted - so while my enery is up compared to first tri, I'm still asleep by 9:30 or 10 at night (vs. midnight or later pre-pregnancy).  He doesn't realize just how much I had to push through the first tri...which I suppose is good, it means that hopefully my co-workers didn't notice it either!  :)

But now I've got more energy compared to 1st tri - but I'm still one tired mama.  And I feel like the EPIC DREAMS I'm having at night aren't helping.  I actually tried not taking my Unisom last night to see if I could sleep better and have less dreams...well, I still dreamt all night long and I've already thrown up several times today so we'll see if I take it again tonight.  *sigh*

  • Welcome amycat! I have a 15, 18 and 23 year old and am loving this pregnancy by far.  Yes, there are 40 and over here and I think most of us can agree, we are alot more relaxed then in our 20's having kids.  @Lauralynn, sorry to hear your not feeling better, but you're doing such a good job for a worthy cause.  I'm impressed at how you can have such a wonderful attitude with the m/s and all.

Well, I was suppose to work on the other bathroom today but didn't feel like it so I didn't LOL!  Being that tomorrow is my Bday, I'll start again on Friday.

    Enjoy your evening ladies!

  • I am real excited like I said I was nervous about my age and this will be my 5th c-section but my doctor is okay with it says there are risks walking out my door everyday so day by day I am trying to think of only the wonwonderful outcome ..
