Girl name...

that I'm currently fixating on is Annelise Marie (this name honors myself & both moms). I was really digging Ruby, but DH doesn't seem that into it:(

    You just ruined Annelise for me. LOL

    For real though, aside from the anal-ease thing, I do like it.

    Lol..this exactly!  I actually have a friend who named their child this and now regrets it.  She said, she can so see her child come home and tell her a boy said to her "I want to anal lease you!"  I'm sure it'll hapen.

    Honestly, the anal-ease correlation never came to mind! A dear friend of the family has a daughter (who is now in her 20's) named Annelise (spelled this way). However, I have seen it spelled Analeise recently & I was horrified!!

    Whoa. I love the name Annelise! I have never heard this connection before (I come from a German background, so it's pronounced AH-nah-lees, not Ay-nah). If spelled correctly, I still think it's a beautiful name. Our family also has a variation: Clairelise (sorry, unsure of the spelling as I have only heard it spoken! But it sounds like Claire-lease.)

    I went to school my whole life with an Annalee. NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY even came up with this. Hate to admit it, but I would have been one of the first to know about something to make fun of.  Annelise is gorgeous. I think its classy and feminine. Annalee never got any crap for her name, and I always thought it was very pretty.

    Not even kidding, just tested on my husband-

    Me: "Honey, what about Annalise?"

    Him:"Nope, sounds like anal-ease."

    Wow.

    I think it is pretty, though!
