Your biggest fear?

It seems a little slow in here at the moment. Let's liven it up.

What is your biggest fear? (PIP if you dare)

Mine:

  • I will not post a picture because they are too nasty but SPIDERS are up there along with

    Burning to Death

    And HOME INVASION!!

  • It probably goes without saying that my biggest fear is anything happened to Betsy.

    But also, tornadoes.

  • being locked in somewhere.  i googled claustrophobia and here is the pic i got:

    Haha, well that works...

  • I'm not even going to go there with my fears involving Jane.

My completely crazy one is that I will literally crack my head open by falling on concrete stairs. (Specific I know, but it relates to this story I overheard when I was a kid.)

My SIL has this as well and it's no joke. She freaks the hell out if she gets the least bit nauseated. If she seems someone else about to get sick she hyperventilates.

  • Spiders. But specifically these:

    image

An entire egg sack of those opened up in a glass light cover on my ceiling growing up and covered my entire body with baby spiders.

I never put the the glass thing back up.

Also getting shot at while in my car. It's never happened but the though of it makes me think I should have less road rage.

I would die if a pack of spiders were crawling on me. I didn't add that to my fear list but it definitely is one I have. How traumatizing!!

  • I can't even talk about the fears I have about Piper.

As for me, I obsesses over the thought of someone running into the movie theater/auditorium/target/any big open space, and holding us all hostage. I am always thinking about an escape route.

Holy crap!!  If that spider thing would've happened to me I probably would've/would have the big one.  NO JOKE.  My fear of spiders is out of control

  • My biggest fear is something bad happening to me, DS, DH or my other immediate family.

My worst irrational fear is anything related to parasites, specifically intestinal parasites.  I saw a tapeworm in a jar in my 7th grade science class (::shudders::) and have feared them ever since.

I had a massive panic attack and got into the shower fully clothed because I didn't know what else to do. And I absolutely REFUSED to go in my room until my mom cleaned the entire thing for me to make sure they were all gone. I also

Yep, this exactly. I've had it ever since I could remember (1st grade-ish?) and I freak out. I hyperventilate if I'm about to get sick or if I have to witness someone getting sick. I had some morning sickness and threw up a couple times and it sort of desensitized me at the time, but I'm still pretty bad about other people puking. I don't have a problem with baby puke for some reason, but I have a feeling I'll become pretty desensitized once C gets older. It's so weird!!

She is the same way. She is hoping once she is pregnant (and possibly has morning sickness) that her fear will subside some. It's like full blown panic attacks when she is thinking about it though. That is how bad my fear of snakes is. It is amazing how a fear can have such an impact.

  • Cockroaches. Any kind of bug really, but cockroaches are the worst.

And my total irrational fear is my house becoming haunted or I may become possessed by a demon or some stupid shiit (I watch way too much horror films. I'm not even going to go there with Paranormal Activity 2. Uh uh. That involves the baby. Eeek!)

I almost puked reading this! OMG I would have needed therapy! I had a whole egg sack of spiders hatch on my car once and I had to borrow Wendys' hose to spray it off, and that was traumatizing! BUT ON YOU? EEEK!

Like from The Shining? That is scary.

I've actually never seen that movie, I just have always had little panic attacks when I have to walk down a long hallway. My husband laughs at me when we stay at a hotel cause I make him walk in front of me and I just stare at his back lol.

  • Mine is demons coming into my house and haunting it. I can't watch scary movies for this reason.

Another is something happening to me and J is left by herself for hours because no one knew something happened to me.

Another one is J not breathing. I'm constantly checking on her.

I have more but those are the main ones.

Sometimes it's okay to follow. (Picture is a clicky)

Big ones are of course something happening to my kids or MH, death.

I am also afraid of snakes, bees/wasps (allergic) & cotton (yes, I said cotton).

Does the cotton fear include cotton clothing?

Not really. I know this is weird, but I cannot pull cotton out of pill bottles, I can't stand to have cotton in my mouth (like at a dentist appointment and they put gauze in there) and I can't look at someone who is chewing on cotton. Like if a baby or a dog is chewing on a blanket, I have to look away.

I can see where you are coming from.  I dislike pulling cotton out of pill bottles as well.  Particularly when a few strands get stuck on the edge, it's like nails on a chalkboard.  But I love cotton clothes and hate all synthetics (ugh).

  • Besides anything happening to my family, I'm a little claustrophobic.  DH likes to sleep with his head under the covers, and I absolutely CAN'T.  I need fresh air around my face.  Fresh air!

Good to know I'm not the only one. Although I love scary movies even though they just add to my fear.

  • It's stupid but scary movies. And not just horror, but gore, suspense, anything like that. I cannot handle it, I thought I would grow out of it but not at all. I watched 15 minutes of Saw once and had a full on panic attack.

Ugh I went to see Zombieland in theaters because my SO was telling me how it wasn't a scary movie. I didn't even make it to the movie, the previews were too much and I walked out crying.

I ended up seeing the movie later at home and it actually wasn't that bad. Gross, but not terrifying.

  • Before having DD, my biggest fear was getting hooked with a fishing hook - it is a completely irrational and baseless fear.

Now - it is something happening to DD.
