I LOVE the name Lily, but like it better as a nickname.
I am not a fan of Lillian.
I love the pronunciation of Liliana, but do not like how it looks (how it is spelled)
Would you keep it as is, or spell it differently?
Lilliana
Lilyana
Lillyana
Lilyanna
Lilianna
They all just...look wrong to me.
Advice?
(ETA: I am not a fan of the random "y" in names, but I know some people spell Liliana this way; hence why I included those spellings. They do not necessarily appeal to me.)
Re: Liliana
Have you thought about using Lily Anna or Lily Ana as a the name?
I agree those spellings do look off. I think using two separate names looks better and it's the same sound.
I think it's a beautiful name but agree it looks funny on paper because of all those straight lines in the Ls and Is. I would still spell it Liliana, or I would opt for a double name as pp suggested, Lily Ana or Lily Anna.
Or, the other day I saw a label with the name Sarabeth as all one word and it caught my eye - do you like Lilybeth? It's kind of different, so just an idea!
I'd pronounce Liliana lily-on-uh. This is by far the best spelling IMO.
If you want the -anna pronunciation, I'd add the extra N.
I like...
Liliana
Lilyana
Lilliana
and Lilianna
I think Lilyana is my fav even though I know the random y's are unpopular 'round these parts, lol.
