Hi again ladies! I wrote a post earlier about what round ligament pain felt like to you all, and came across another term...lightning crotch...online shortly thereafter. It is also described as a stabbing feeling in the pelvic/vaginal area. Does anyone know if this is different than round ligament pain, or is it exactly the same thing? Thanks!
Re: Lightning crotch vs round ligament pain?
Different from what I've been told and experienced.
"Lightening crotch:" is sharp stabby type pains in your vaginal canal. Or what I call whooo-haaa (Pain does feel similar to what RLP would feel like just further south).
RLP: Stabby type pain in your low abdom. or sides. Sometiems it's a dull ache and can even feel crampy at times. This is your uterus stretching. Nurses have explained it to me as it feeling like a rubber band is being pulled. These can last several seconds to a minute, go away, and may come back again.
Is lightning crotch also a normal part of pregnancy? Should I worry if I experience it? Thanks again!
