The nurse in my REs office suggested I look into it. Anyone have experience with respite care? My DH is active duty so it will be mostly myself looking after the infant when he is deployed.
We are licensed to do respite care, but have only ever been called for long-term fostering. I think respite care is an awesome thing and wonderful gift to give to foster parents.
Being a fellow IFer, i think it would have been a good way to get my mind off of all the treatments and help the days pass faster.
We are licensed foster parents currently not accepting new placements, but we do provide respite care for other foster parents at least once a month. We're actually providing it for a 7month old until tomorrow afternoon.
