Beta Testing?

I'm going in for bloodwork on Monday to confirm my pregnancy (as if the 5 tests I took aren't enough haha).  Is that the same as Beta testing?

For those who have had their betas tested, did you request that those get done or what was the reason?  My Dr. said that I didn't even need to come in for a blood test and just made an appointment for a few weeks away.  Does this seem normal? I guess I am concerned that they don't want to test my beta levels.

Re: Beta Testing?

  • It's normal to not have an appt until 8-10 weeks.

My betas were checked with DD because I had some spotting. They aren't being checked with this baby.

ETA: It's also normal to not have an u/s until 16-20 weeks. It all depends on the Dr.
