I have been getting comments lately about the boys outfits. Everyone asking Do you dress them the same everyday??
Ever since they were born I have been dressing them the same. But the thing that has got me thinking maybe Im crazy is that I even put them in the same sleepers for bed. Also if someone buys them clothes that dont match I either search for the match for each of them or return the one for a match.
Just wondering if anyone else does this?
Re: Dressing the Same
I like dressing my twins the same mostly b/c they look nothing like twins- and it looks cute, and i know i don't have too long that i can do it
they have a lot of clothes that don't match - b/c of their older brother's hand me downs.... so often they are not dressed the same... but I do prefer it.
they rarely match their PJs though... i don't care about that
I've got B/G twins and am hung up on them coordinating, if not matching. The matching part is SO hard because most stores don't have the same thing in boys and girls clothes, but I try to make sure what they are wearing goes together. If my DD is in a pink smocked or embroidered dress, DS will be in a smocked or embroidered blue bubble. The design may not be the same, but the outfits coordinate because they are the same style and brand.
And mine are sleeping right now in coordinating PJs. Hers are lavender and white stripes and his are blue and white stripes. He had one set of stripey PJs that didn't have a match and it drove me crazy enough that I went out and bought the girl version.
I have issues. I fully recognize this.
our twins are not here and we are on team green but if we have Boy twins they will wear same outfit but different color ... like one in red the other in blue same shirt just diff color. Does that make sense they will have some things that are the same and at times will be in the same color and stuff..
If we have B/G twins - they will just wear stuff that matches eachother when we go out. If girl wears a coral dress boy will wear a turquoise shirt - i think .. or that is our plan.
Honestly , were a lil on the dark side and so our kids will prolly have tons of black clothes with skulls on em !

We do not dress them the same. I had planned on it at first, but when they were born there was such a weight difference that they weren't in the same size clothing. (Thanks TTTS!) And once they both got up to newborn sizes I couldn't bring myself to match them because they have such different personalities, it just didn't feel like the right thing to do. Silly, I know!
I love the matchy look, it's just not for us.

Ditto this. It is also just easier to grab two of the same outfit. I worry that one might look cuter if they aren't matching...lol Sometimes they'll be coordinating like one wearing stripes and the other polka dots in the same colors. But 99% of the time they match. Right now I have 16 matching outfits and 6 non-matching outfits. We have a couple pairs of matching jammies, but they don't match for the most part cause they were older DDs.

I dress mine alike (and usually sleepers) 95% of the time. Otherwise I feel like I'm putting 1 baby in the cuter/nicer outfit. I know it may seem super anal, but that's my main reasoning. I never thought I'd dress them alike before they were born, but then I always felt I was favoring someone.
ETA: I'll let them wear whatever they want as soon as they show an opinion. DS1 has been very strong headed about his clothing since right before he turned 2 years.
