mirena IUD users?

I had it inserted about 3-4 weeks ago and have been spotting since...  I was told I would have some spotting but this seems to be going on for so long. Has this happened to anyone else?

    I got mine in August. I am still spotting.

    Another nestie got her's in February and she is still spotting as well.

    I think it depends on the person. A nestie posted yesterday that she had spotting for 24 hrs and that was it.

    Yes! I have had mine since the end of July and have been bleeding and spotting since.

    The first 2 months were like that for me. I only have it every once in awhile now and my periods have been lighter and shorter.

    Yes, and it varies from day to day. Everytime I think I'm finally done, I start spotting again. And I have a very TMI question: Did any of you notice a different smell coming from down there after having it inserted? I've had it a month and don't really smell the smell anymore, or maybe I've just gotten used to it. Eeek!!
