1. I have gotten pretty good at doing a lot of things one handed... like typing, doing dishes, laundry, etc. However, I have not yet figured out how to brush my teeth or put on deodorant with one hand...hmm... is this possible? Maybe I'm just going to have to get used to smelling like BO, considering I can't shower until DH gets home either...
2. I REALLY need groceries, but haven't had the guts to brave the grocery store with DS yet. How do you do it? Where does the carseat go in the cart? Would I be better off with DS in the Moby? Do I have to have DH to go? Or should I just try leaving DH at home with DS and getting a moment to myself?
3. If one more door-to-door salesman comes to my house I am going to scream. First off, we live in a no solicitation neighborhood, in case they all missed the large signs upon entering. Secondly, I have loud dogs that make noise whenever anyone comes near our house, so that is helpful to keeping DS sleeping. And lastly, if one more salesman rings our darn doorbell for me to get DS off my boob, get us presentable, and get us to the door, just to see that they only rung to alert me that they had hung a flier on our door handle and walked away, I am going to run after them and assault them. Seriously!
Re: Random thoughts of the day=
1. I haven't figured out how to groom myself with DD either. I wait until she finally goes down for a nap and then dress and put on deodorant and brush my teeth (if she will let me put her down, that is).
2. If you take baby along, I would wear the Moby if it's an option. The carseat takes up so much room in the cart that I usually use for bread/eggs/the like that I hate having her in it. We will be switching to the Moby when the weather warms up. I don't grocery shop without DH, but if I did, I might take it as time for myself without the baby.
3. I agree. I actually don't bother to take DD off the boob to answer the door anymore, since that first week of constant visitors. If they don't like it, tough. I'm not interrupting my daughter's feeding to answer the door. Thankfully thus far the only person who has had the door answered with me nursing was my best friend. lol
My dogs unfortunately bark at everything so hopefully DD just learns to sleep through that.

does your local grocery store offer online shopping?
I go shopping without MJ. It gives me a break and also my ped told me not to take him anywhere with recycled air just yet.
as for the door to door, I would put up a sign that states not to ring the bell. Thankfully MJ goes not even stir when the dogs bark. H's friend has a habit of calling just as MJ is drifting off just about every other night. Now he is someone I may kill.
1. you can hold the toothbrush in the hand with the baby while you put the paste on it. then switch to do the actual brushing and same thing with takeing the cap off the deodorant.
2. I put DD side ways in the cart. MH hates how I put her in because he thinks she is going to fall. basically the top of the seat and the bottom of the seat rest on the sides of the cart by the seat and then I take the seat belt and wrap it around the handle to secure it on. that way i can see her, see where I am going and still be able to put groceries under the car seat.
3. You can go to Office Max or Staples and get a sticker for your door saying "no soliciting." or get a "beware of dog" sign. I remember when I was little selling girl scout cookies. if a house had a beware of dog sign on it I wouldn't go to it.
