Our pedi said any time between now and nine months is fine to add a third solids feeding. I'm curious when others added it. He's been having solids for almost two months now and does great with them, but I want to make sure he still getting the amount of BM and formula he needs.
Re: When did you move to solids 3x/day?
8-months, I think. We went to twice a day at 6-months, and I am pretty sure three times a day at 8-months or 9-months.
ETA: And this in no way changed the amount of BM he consumed daily. He still kept up with his regular feedings, and didn't start to drop them until 11-months.

At our 9 month appt, we were told to go down to formula of 20 to 24 oz. So I made a change at our daycare to have them feed baby 2 baby foods, and now bring three 6 oz bottles of formula to daycare. I try to feed him one more solid and cereal at night if I have the time. And then I gave baby a 4 oz right before bed, so he does not get hungry overnight.
My baby is a preemie, so I try to factor in his adjusted age. And baby still loves his bottle at this point.
I've been wondering the same thing! We're still just doing two solid meals at this point. Breakfast and dinner. I like to get him nice and full before bed.
He practically drools and tries to snatch my food out of my hand when I eat lunch in front of him though....so I was thinking he's probably ready for that third meal!
What's B's favorite food so far?
My little man is the same way. He loves most things, but sweet potatoes and bananas are his absolute favorites. I feel like he would eat his weight in sweet potatoes if I let him!
