NBR: New show "Coming Home"

Anyone else see the commercial for this on Lifetime? It's a whole show about reuniting families with returning soldiers. Yeah... I saw the commercial and started crying already. This show is not made for hormonal pregnant women. But i'm gonna watch it anyway =P

Re: NBR: New show "Coming Home"

  • I posted about this last week. I realized I just can't watch anything on Lifetime anymore. Between OBEM and Coming Home I'm just going to ban the channel from my home.

  • I cried within the first 3 seconds of the commercial, there is no way I would make it through the program.  I am overly sentimental about soldiers anyway, but add hormones in the mix and I am out of control!

I'm going to have DH put that channel under parental controls and not tell me the code so I can't watch it. I have a hard enough time with OBEM... Coming Home will just turn me into a cry baby. I get a lump in my throat every time I see the commercial.

  • OMG I know! My dad was navy so I know how those kids feel and since my dad died I haven't been able to watch these things. And now my DH is navy too so my hormones are insane! The feeling that all of those people feel is completely unexplainable and know one will ever understand unless you deal with it :) I cannot wait for this show!
  • Yeah I saw that last night. I immediately started tearing up. DH is military and will be deploying again next year so I of course get really emotional at that kind of stuff. I just think about our reunion last year and the up coming one. I don't think I can watch this channel because it would feel like torture to me.
  • I cannot imagine what it would be like to have my DH or father deployed so I have the highest regards for what you ladies go through. I think it's great that this show is paying homage to our soldiers and gives me a reason to have a good hard cry once a week =P

  • I have cried every time I have seen the commercials.  I know I shouldn't watch it because I will be a crying mess, but I already have it set on the DVR.

  • Yea, add me to the list of hormonal bumpies. It really makes me bawl because every time I see a little girl run and hug her daddy I think "One day that will be MY little girl." I'm tearing up right now just thinking about it.Crying God hormones suck!

  • I can't even make it through the commercial without completely losing my marbles! DH is military and will be leaving on his second deployment within the next year or so, and like a PP, that little girl running to her daddy just kills me! I love Army Wives, but I don't know if I can bring myself to watch it.

I can't watch Army Wives. I watched all season 1 & 2 and I cried almost every dang episode. And I wasn't even pregnant! That channel should come with an endless supply of Kleenex.
