can u clean car seat cover

is this something i should not be doing...... the straps have to come out not sure if i should mess with it

    you can throw most of them in the washing machine just not the dryer.  I have a chicco and they wash beautifully.

    I've washed the cover to my Snugride 3 times and air dry it and it comes out perfectly. I haven't, however, figured out how to wash the straps and I'd really like to..........

    Yup.  We had to b/c Monkey had a total blowout one day while in it.  Machine wash and air dry.

    I, too, would like to know how to wash the straps effectively.

    i just remove all the hardware from the straps and throw them in the washer w/ the cover. I put them in a lingerie bag so that they dont get tangled up around the center of the drum.?

    The straps can go in the dryer w/out shrinking.
