2wk old, how much milk

So I am bfing my litttle boy and did a weigh before and after feeding him today and found out he ate 5 oz in a feeding. The lactation specialist seemed pretty impressed but I was wondering how much other babies are eating. Is that really a lot or normal?

I am impressed! DD ws drinking 2-2.5oz. I almost think once she did 3 but I can't remember.

We are breastfeeding by bottle and the nurses at the hospital started Charlotte at a half ounce and then we left on Sunday and they told us to bump it to 1 ounce until we see the Dr. (tomorrow).?

5 ounces seems like a lot to me but I am only feeding her 1 ounce (and she is only 1 week). How often does he eat? C is taking 1 ounce every 2 hours. ?

I am waking him up ever 3 hours to eat. I don't know if he always eats that much since I am too lazy to pump and give a bottle but he rarely wakes up to eat. I only wake him to eat because he is so little still but he was born at 8.10 went down to 8.3 and now is back up to 9 lbs so I think he is getting plenty of food. I certainly won't feel bad if he goes 4 or 5 hours at night without eating.
