baby kicked cat lastnight!

I was laying in bed lastnight and kitty wanted to come under the covers!  She is spoiled!  So she was lying next to me with her head up against my belly purring away and after a few mins, the baby kicked her!!  I thought it was funny!  If the cat keeps purring against my belly, I am afraid that will be the only thing that will soothe her when she is out of the womb!

That happened to my dog once.  She was sitting on my lap and got a big kick.  She got startled and jumped off quickly in a panic.

This happened to my cat too. 

Cat was sitting on belly on bare skin, one of the babies kicked, and cat jumped off scared - had no idea what happened. 

It was pretty funny.

that happened to my dog too. funniest damn thing to see! she was so confused as to what just happened. She is a chihuahua and wedges herself "under" my belly. She just looked at me like I beat her for no reason! Poor thing

I don't know if my cat cant feel it, or he doesnt care.  But the baby loves when he purs next to my belly.  He always starts squirming around and the Cat doesn't seem to notice.

I wish that I could have my boys close to me and by my belly just to see how they'd react but unfortunately, my cats aren't allowed in my room or anywhere too close to me. I'm an asthmatic and allergic to cats (don't ask...I didn't know this when I rescued them and will never part with them).  Since I'm not able to take my allergy pills, I try to keep as little fur/dander around me as possible.  Anyway, I've been noticing lately that both my cats are really close to me, always watching me as if something is about to happen and really really protective of me...to the point where I can't even kiss my husband w/o them crying.  I've been wondering whats going on and if they can tell that they're about to get a non-fur baby.  lol

My cat sleeps on me and my body pillow.  LO frequently kicks and squirms right underneath the cat and she doesn't seem to notice!   But then, she's stubborn about getting up once she's gotten settled.  I can completely roll over and she'll stay put.

Our younger cat regularly sleeps on my lap and I've been waiting for her to react to a kick but nothing yet.

Yes, this happens daily to me. My cats are unfazed.
