Are Jackson & Beckett too close?

Beckett is one of our top contendors for DS 2. I'm just afraid they sound too similar. Especially if they get shortened to Jack & Beck.

    No, I don't think they're too close, or close at all, really.  I do think they're both incredibly trendy sounding when used together, though, and I think I'd lean toward something more classic to go with Jack.

    This, exactly.

    The thing is DH and I have a hard time agreeing on names! The other contendor is Sawyer but, our last name ends in -er and I'm not 100% sold on it.

    The only similarity is they are both surnames that have ck in them...

    I think it would be hard to have two boys with similar names because when they get in trouble you are going to be fumbling all over yourself. You'll end up calling them Jacket and Beckson. Sorry, my vote is no.

    I actually like them together. They are of a similar style, without sounding like the same name.
