I got ribbon today and we will be putting her name on the wall tonight. But I need some help making a pretty bow with the ribbon. I want it to look like this. But I don't think i am that fancy HELP PLEASE!
I like how these are suspended from the cute flower hooks, I just hung a small silver curtain rod and slid my bow tied letters onto it. I adjusted the ribbon after putting up the letters. Would post a pic, but am not sure how.
These bows are most likely 2 pieces..the bow and then the arched piece that connects to letter. Make the bow then feed the 2nd piece through the back/bottom of the bow, then fluff it up and make it pretty.
here are 2 how tos from a few sites, try them out.
Naa, you can't mess it up. Trust me, I just tied a bow the same way you tie your shoe (leaving room to hang) and once they are up you can adjust. One thing I would say is cut your ribbon a little longer than you think you need it, you can always trim, but you can't add more. I also started with the first letter and after I measured out how much ribbon I thought I would use I cut the rest of the ribbon that same length for each letter. It is trial and error, but there is nothing that could really get ruined or messed up in the process. Worst comes to worst you end up buying more ribbon.

This makes sense to me, and it would look more like your example above. You could use the 2 piece approach and attach the second piece that gets fed through the back of the bow to the letters. You could use hot glue, or a flat type thumbtack could get tapped into the back for more security.

So like how I tie my shoe you think would work? Use hot clue to connect to the letters?
Thanks for the help
