Glucose Test Today at 4 pm- Nervous

I just wanted to ask that you send me positive thoughts for my glucose test today at 4 pm.  I am very nervous after reading the many posts of those that didn?t pass their first test.  I?ve been given a lot of advice since then (chug the drink-don?t sip it as you?ll want to stop, bring something with you to eat after the appointment because the ?sugar high? will bring you down real low etc).  Any other advice?  

 

I?m a little unsettled because of the weather today and I have to drink the bottle in the car (because of my long commute) otherwise I won?t make the appointment.  It says you have to drink it 1 hour prior to your scheduled appointment, I hope I don?t feel bad in the car on the way there after drinking it.  Ugh

seriously do not be nervous. it was easy! just chug the small cup down. It is not alot. you will be fine and honestly a few have made it out to be harder than it actually was. good luck

I was nervous when I had mine too, but actually I had no problems.  The drink wasn't all that bad, I didn't feel weird during the test, and even after I felt fine the rest of the day.  I know it affects everyone differently, but really don't stress about it!!

Don't worry!!! I had mine last week at 3pm and ate normally all day before (still passed). The drink wasn't bad at all and I never felt sick or tired afterward.

It's really not as bad as you think it will be! Good luck!

The one hour was not bad at all.  The drink wasn't even that bad tasting.  I did feel queasy the rest of the afternoon though and was kind of tired.  But I just wouldn't eat a huge meal right before like I did because then you might have to take the three hour (which sucked a lot more.)

I drank mine in the car too!  I thought it would be a smart way to avoid waiting the whole hour.  But then there was no traffic, and I still got there with half an hour to spare.  Don't be nervous...the drink really isn't that bad.  I was a little queasy afterwards, but was fine as soon as I ate.  Good luck!

Did they give you the results then and there or do you have to wait?

They told me that if I fail I will hear from them by Wednesday

Aside from feeling a little jittery from the sugar rush for about 20 minutes, I was fine.

 Everyone reacts differently, but most women won't have any adverse reaction to it so it's really nothing to be nervous about unless you have a needle fear.
