I woke up this morning with an urge to exercise. Up until now I just walk whenever the roads aren't very slippery, but that's about it. I signed up for a prenatal yoga class, but it's only one day a week. I'll be able to start walking more once the roads thaw out, but who knows when that will actually happen.
So what are you doing for exercise? Do you do regular classes, just prenatal yoga classes, go to the gym and do some weight training, swim? Inspire me, please!!!

Chase my kids around?
I'd really like to take a prenatal yoga class. I'm mostly just looking forward to some nicer weather so I can get outside with the girls and play and take walks. We're dying being inside all the time, but my snowpants no longer fit so we can't play in the snow.

Right now I just walk the dog a mile 2x a day.
I bought some prenatal yoga sessions on living social, so I'll give those a shot on Sunday afternoons once I get further along.
I'm so jealous that you even have the option of swimming right now! Our pool probably won't be open until beginning of May...if we're lucky. I might just need to join a club so I can use their indoor pool.
Its going to be in the mid 70s today. The pool is heated, so I COULD have been swimming all winter, but its outdoor, and I abhor being wet and cold, even if its just long enough to run to the locker room. Sometimes I wish we had actual winters here, but times like these I'm glad we don't.
You are in your pool from February/March through October???? Ooooh I envy your weather!

oh! spinning! that's a great idea!
I usually just stick to eliptical/stationary bike/treadmill for cardio with some resistance training using bands. I'm also hoping to sign up for this class at our hospital called "Fit for Delivery" - it's 1 1/2 hours of preggo-friendly workouts and yoga to get our bodies ready for the big day.
On Saturday I decided to mix it up and do a Jillian Michaels workout video I used to do before getting pregnant, and I got so dizzy I almost passed out! I couldn't see anything there were so many spots in my vision - crazy! So I think I'll be backing down to my old routine again.
I have been walking 2-3 miles most weekdays for the past few weeks.
I'm going to walk/run a 5K in a few weeks.
Spinning hurts my @$$ so badly!!
I have a TRX in my garage and I do "weight lifting" on that everyday. I also jump rope and walk or jog with my DS and/or DH.
exercise? what exercise?
lol, I've never, EVER been consistent with exercise. The most I do is walk during spring/summer/fall. But since it's been cold the most I do is run around the house with DD or chase the dog around the neighborhood if she happens to get out.
I guess you can consider cleaning the house exercise. I move at a REALLY fast pace and we have a tri level so I'm up and down the stairs ALL the time.
Honestly, you can go in year round down here. I remember plenty of Christmases in Austin where everyone wore shorts as it was 70-80 outside. I also remember plenty in sweaters as it was 30-50 outside. You just never quite know what to expect!
My husband just got relocated from Washington DC to a REALLY rural area - haven't even been able to find a decent gym around here. Right now I do four days/week of walking 3-4 mi around our hilly neighborhood, and three days/week of a prenatal yoga DVD. On the waiting list to get a membership to the local pool, and the only yoga/pilates studio I've found around here does not work with pregnant women after 1st trimester. Feeling in a major rut - at the old place I did pilates, yoga, tons of classes, swimming, etc. Frustrated, but trying to keep my spirits up until I figure something out.
Especially at Decker Lake where the water is warmed by the power plant on the other side of the lake. Its like bath water year round. Lake Pflugerville not so much
Running & walking the dog (daily)
Prenatal yoga (1x week supervised)
I hear you on the roads! I can't wait to be able to really walk again.
Right now I just walk the dog about 20 minutes in the am when its not icy or snowing/raining. At night I try to do the Wii Fit for about 30 minutes 4 times a week. For a could more weeks I have to go to the barn where my horse is after work and when I am there is about 40 minutes of walking, lifting, shoveling and just generally moving around.
I haven't made it to the gym in ages because my gym is in my office building. I am usually too tired when I get out of work at 3 to go. I get a second wind abour 5:30 at night so that's what I get the Wii out.
I hear you on the weather...I can't wait until it warms up so I can take my dog for more walks!
Right now I'm doing a couple DVDs at home - prenatal yoga and the Summer Sanders prenatal workout. I try to do each once a week. Hopefully I'll get back to walking as I start feeling better.

I find I feel soooo much better on days I exercise, so that is what helps me get over the hump of starting each day! I was an endurance runner prepregnancy, so now I go for a jog/walk nearly every day, listen to my body, and only workout at an intensity that feels right. I also do pilates a couple times a week, and that really helps strengthen my core (which will be helpful for pushing!), and helps my pelvis maintain a healthy alignment now that my ligaments are all loosey-goosey.
Good luck finding an exercise routine that works for you...you'll feel great when you start one!
