Pregnancy Cold

I have been hit by a monster cold and am dying to take theraflu!!  The worst symptom has been a cough that has been bad enough at times to bring me to tears.  Boo.

Fortunately I have the best DH in the world.  He built me a pillow fort on the couch yesterday so I could rest and has cooked every meal this weekend AND cleaned up after the cooking.  

Anyone else gotten a cold so far?  How did you deal?

I have been having terrible allergies, my nose will not stop running! I went and got a neti pot to help with that...and it worked pretty well. Alcohol-free cough syrup is on my Dr.'s medicine list....so maybe you can get some? Also, Vick's Vapor Rub might help too!

I too have the horrible cold right now! I am dying to take some Nyquil so I can sleep through the night . . . But instead I have been drinking lots of earthmama tea, rinsing with salt water, and using Vick's vapor rub on my chest.  My cough also hurts so badly I feel like crying sometimes, but my hubby is away at work until Wednesday so I am jealous you have a good nurse to care for you.  Feel better soon!

I'm also suffering with a cold right now- on day 4!  I have so much sinus pain and I'm so stuffed up - all I've been doing is using VIcks Vapour rub and having hot baths - I've been pretty grouchy but DH has been amazing!

yikes, i am so sorry to hear that you are suffering.  I am now just getting over my terrible cold that i had for 6 days. It was so hard to not reach for the musinex or any other cold remedies, however when I spiked a fever of 100.3, I ended up taking a regular tylenol to bring the fever down (which also helped with the terrible sinus pain).  Eventually relief does come, just stay as patient as you can with yourself.  although at times it can be super hard.
