How was your transition to table food? I've been trying little by little to get the girls there, but it seems that they gag quite a bit on anything chunky. We are still on Stage 2 baby food. They can do puffs ok, but will gag on a lot of other things. Avery is a lot worse than Tessa, but she only has 2 teeth right now (Tessa is working on her 7th!). Does it get better when they have more teeth? How did you transition?
I'm trying to transition right now. I've been giving them puffs for quite a while. They do pretty well with finger foods, but I feed them mostly stage 3 baby food. Don't freak out when they gag, it happens when they are learning to eat (choking is obviously different). We had friends over tonight for a "mexican fiesta" and I was really proud of how much they ate. They had ground meat, tomatoes, lettuce, shredded cheese, beans, & corn.
I feed them baby food for every meal and then end w/ some kind of finger food.
