Allergic Reaction to California Baby?

Max woke up from his nap yesterday afternoon with a few swollen spots on his cheek. They spread into one big swollen spot about the size of a golf ball. It's pink with redness behind it and a little feverish. I checked his temperature, normal. Talked to the nurse and she said cold compress every couple of hours. He woke up this morning and I can still see where it was on his face. His cheeks still look a little swollen. It's also moved to his arms and legs. We're going to the doctor here is a little while. The only thing I can think of is we started using California Baby soap on Friday night and I mopped the floors with swifter mop stuff yesterday.

Has anyone heard of an allergic reaction to california baby products before?

Re: Allergic Reaction to California Baby?

  • The only CAbaby stuff Camy doesn't react to is the diaper cream. Everything else gives her a rash. Could it be a food reaction?
  • Kate can't handle the diaper cream, but the soap doesn't bother her.  She did have unexplained hives a few months ago and we never figured out what it was.  We just had to keep giving her Benadryl around the clock.  Did the nurse say to give Benadryl?

No, the nurse said he was too young for benadryl; but the doctor gave us the OK to go ahead with it today. The dr said it is hives, he doubts it's from the CB soap.
