Thoughts on Dawson?

I came across this name last night and I think I really like it. We were going to go with Eli for this LO, however no matter how much my DH loves it, I just can't get on board. How does Dawson 'go' with our DS, Ethan? Any thoughts?

I like Dawson! It goes well with Ethan too. We have a little boy at church named Dawson...he is just precious.

I like Eli better but I've also recently been watching Dawson's Creek DVDs and that Dawson is s bit of a pansy so my opinion is skewed.

I like Dawson better than Eli. People might think of Dawson's Creek the first time they hear it, but then they'll forget about that I think.

Even though it breaks my surname rule, I like Dawson. I, too, think of Dawson's Creek, but that's because I'm in my 30s and it came out when I was in college and I've seen every episode twice. Most kids won't have any idea about that show since its been off so long.

Our friends have a son Dawson. I really like it and it suits him. It wasn't until I mentioned his name to someone else that I made the Dawson's Creek connection. In another 5 or 10 years, I doubt many people will make the association right off the bat.
