My DH and I have to get married! Again!

So I went to the DMV yesterday to get my license. We moved here almost two years ago and thought it was about time. I also had my maiden name on my old license. So I go wait an hour for my number to be called and find out the state doesn't honor my marriage license. We got married in Jamicia. The federal government honors it. Just not the state. I know ridiculous. So we have to get married again in the US so that my drivers license can have my married name. Its going to be entertaining going to the court house very pregnant for a shot gun wedding.

Thats ridiculous! I dont know why they wouldnt honor it. But once it is all said and done, it will be a funny story to tell.

What? What a hassle. Waiting in line at the DMV stinks. Hoping it's quick and easy for your marriage certificate.

I don't think that's that uncommon. I feel like I've heard of girls who had destination weddings having to do that. Maybe I'm wrong though.

What a pain!!!  A friend of mine got married in Cancun two years ago and she had her now-DH had a quick courthouse wedding before they left for the destination wedding, just so they could avoid marriage certificate hassles.

That is crazy!  Take advantage of it though - make sure your DH gets you gifts for both of your anniversaries!!!

Wow! Guess we will have to get married twice too...We plan on having a wedding in Jamaica and moving to CO.
