Not diggin the big boy car seat

Yesterday was our first day using the big boy seat and I'm not diggin it! It meant having to put his coat on because the bundle me is gone, then snapping him in the seat was a mission especially with the coat and a fussy baby that was arching his back. He fell alseep on the way to school and woke up when I took him out. Not to mention carrying all 20lbs of him + our bags around the building in the freezing cold.

Man do I miss the convenience of the infant seat and snap n go!!

When is he going to start walking?

Re: Not diggin the big boy car seat

  • ha!  thank you!  You just helped me renew my decision to keep cramming him in the infant seat until spring!

How is he doing?  Is he thinking about crawling at all?  I swear Jones might skip it..lol!  he doesn't want to crawl at all!

  • Sean isn't a huge fan but he was fighting laying down to be in the infant seat, and with two it was just time to move him to the big kid carseat.

As for the jacket, just as a note, please look for the you tube video about how to safely wear a heavy coat and strap the kid in, you have to strap in under the jacket. Anyways, what we do is just wrap him in a blanket and do quick dashes in and out of stores or the house and keep him in a light fleece jacket and just leave the heavy jacket at home.

It crazy looking at all of our babies that were born so close together and seeing where they are at milestone wise.  Liam is already crawling like mad and pulling up on everything, but I'm pretty sure he is just trying to keep up with his big brother. He is also already starting table food, and can drink out of a sippy cup.

  • Mousey wait as long as you can, I wish I could have gotten a few more weeks out of it.

It's crazy to see all these babies getting so big!

Jack is doing well, with the exception of this nasty cold he is fighting right now. Poor thing I hate when he doesn't feel well. He is rolling around and doing the army crawl, he does get up on his knees and rocks but hasn't gotten the crawling down yet. He's eating table food like a champ but we're still struggling with the sippy cup. Honestly, I'm not in a huge rush for that though.

I can't believe these babies are going to be walking soon. Where has the time gone?
