Ava is just this funny, kind, smart little being. She amazes me every day. She knows all of her colors, and we've been teaching her what the different lights/signs mean when we drive. The other day she was driving with DH, and she yelled "SLOW DOWN!" because she saw a flashing yellow light. Yesterday morning we heard her wake up over the monitor and start saying her prayers: "God besh Aya, CeCe, Chowee, Mommy, Daddy...." Melted my heart.
CeCe is just super excited over everything. She claps and waves now, which is too adorable. She finally figured got the hang of crawling and standing (Charlie did it very early) and now she gives her sisters a run for their money. She is so fast!
Charlie is our smiley little thing. She's so curious about everything and just wants to figure stuff out. She loves to be cuddled at night.
Both of the twins recently started giving open-mouth, drooly kisses! I LOOOOVE them!
Brady just started walking last week and the kids is so freaking happy to be walking. He is just too cute. When he walks the twins both yell and clap Go Brady!!!

Charlotte has mastered making Jiffy mix muffins, and she's so cute about it.
She'll get out the box, put on an apron, pull out the bowl, the milk, the egg, and open the box, add it to the bowl, ask Mommy to pour the milk in the measuring cup, then dump it in, add an egg (she can crack an egg properly) and stir it up. She lines the muffin tin with the papers, and spoons the batter in, taking like 30 minutes to get it done, but she does it correctly.
When the muffins come out, she is so excited and pleased with herself I think her smile will break her face!

Ella is also learning stop lights:P Mom! Stop! It's red! lol. Thanks Ella.
Ella's memory is AMAZING. She will tell me things that she did 6 months ago and I'll have no idea what she's talking about until she describes it. And SHE WILL describe it until I understand!
The twins are both holding their head up SO well! They are taking 3 hour naps in the morning which is really nice for me and Ella. They are in their swing and their carseat when they are doing it, but it's better than being on my chest the whole time. Jules is smiling and Tuck is almost, you can tell that he wants to!

James is saying tons of words and putting two word phrases together! I'm so proud of him. Sometimes I can't keep up with how fast the thoughts are moving in his little head. This morning he pointed to a picture of a car transporter truck on his placement and said "Car poe-por" and then at one of the cars on it and said "Car!" and then said "Blue!" and when I said "Yes, it's a blue car!" he said "Blue car!"
Ben is rolling over back and forth like crazy and almost sitting up on his own. He also wants to crawl-- he lays in his belly and kicks his legs and gets this look on his face like "Must.move.forward." He's also a smiley happy boy, and he's started sleeping short periods in his crib at night, which lets Mommy gets at least a few hours of restful sleep. Love it!

Jack is very verbal and a very sweet child. The newest cute things he says are "good moh-ning!" and "see you yayter!" SO funny. We are loving playing with his new train track and trains that he got for Christmas - and it also amazes me to watch him eat a bowl of cereal and milk with a spoon - I just can't believe he is such a big boy (and from the first time he started doing so he figured out to drink the rest of the milk out of the bowl when almost done - and barely spills a drop when he does!) He can almost count to ten - knows just about every letter - also knows and verbally identifies the sign for "divided by" and "equals" - so funny. He knows all his colors - and his vocabulary and clarity of speech improve daily it seems. It's bittersweet - what used to be a "bleah-bee" is now a "bumble bee" .. "Ra-mah" is now "Gramma" .. and it all happens without warning - one day it's the baby version, the next, he's saying it almost 100 percent correctly. Oh - and he SINGS - that "dynamite" song is a particular fave right now (our version is "sayin' HEY-YO, baby LET'S GO!")
He is fun to spend time with and rarely has a spaz out - is great in restaurants - we are just BLESSED with this little boy.
OK - yes - I am a very proud mama. He is the light of my life - I waited 37 years for him - and wow was he worth the wait.
Wheee!

Ethan has started squealing when he is very excited or happy. My mom called last night and as soon as she said hello to him, he started squealing with happiness. He does not babble all the time but in the 5 minutes he 'spoke' to her he babbled the most he had all day and it was so cute to see.
Andrew is a smart cookie and has awesome verbal skills. My favourite word that he says is "ramshackle," which comes out pretty near perfectly. (It's the name of a Caspar Babypants song, and he says it when I'm on my computer -- it's his gateway to YouTube. Sigh.) He also says stuff like "Come on!" "I did it!" and "No tickle, Mummy!" He counts to ten, is pretty good at identifying shapes, and finally seems to be grasping the concept of colours. He prefers to have me feed him with the spoon, but he did it himself yesterday and I was shocked at how good he was!

Doesn't this just KILL you?? On one hand, it is so cool to actually see the progression of speech. On the other hand, it is happening so fast! Ava has gone from "warm cozo" to "warm and cozy," from "Chowwa" to "Choweee (Charlie)," From "Momma" to "Mommy." Too fast.
1st of all I can not believe I almost have a 2 year old. Katie just had a growth spurt and is getting so tall. She has been talking up a storm these days and she is so funny. This kid cracks me up constantly and she knows she is funny : ) She is putting a ton of 2 word phrases together and has been "singing" along with me in the car. She likes Bruno Mars and my Glee songs. I am always hysterical driving when I hear her repeating words!!! I love this kid!!!!!!!!!!
K loves to sing "happy birthday" and it's so damn cute.
She's started waking up happy, which makes ME happy. She's all smiles in the mornings these days.
There's another girl in her class at daycare who can be sensitive. Her mom and I are friends so we call the girls BFFs. Anyway, the other girl is going through some transitions right now (dropped bottles, no more purees) and every single day K goes up to her when her mom drops her off and gives her a hug and a pat on the back. And if she cries during the day, K runs over to her to make sure she's OK.
She is such a great kid. She's generally a happy kid, is quick to smile at anyone, makes me and her daddy very happy every single day. God, I love that kid.
D started to initiate play. I do this thing where I am "mommy monster" and I chase him and then tickle him. Now D does this, complete with snarl, growl and everything... Just too cute! I literally created a monster lol
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Eliza is doing awesome working with a spoon and fork and she is so darned proud of herself when she does it. She is signing like a pro and picking up new signs all the time. I think sign language is the coolest thing we have done with her so far.
She is super excited whenever one of us comes home from being gone or comes into get her from a nap or in the morning. She waves like a maniac and says, "HI!!!!' and sometimes she bounces and shrieks. Melts our hearts into a million little pieces.
I just love her more than I ever knew was possible.

every single day is something new and that's why I LOVE this age!
ginny's new thing is to say "ohhhhhkayyyy mummaaaa."
"it's naptime lovebug."
"ohhhhhkayyyy mummaaaa." SO flippin' cute!
also, we play with the magnetic alphabet letters all the time. when ginny picks up the "D" now she says "dada" or "L" is "lulu." she does this with about 15 letters and it blows me away! so cool.
2 infertiles' journey to 2 pink lines (and a baby girl) "our IF story"
Jones is finally getting the hang of solids! He's been eating more at night now and he loves to try bites of what I'm eating, especially if its some sort of red sauce/italian food..lol! kid loves pizzas and calzones!
He is suddenly realizing that he might want to get somewhere other than where we set him down, so he's trying to pull up on things and is just starting to think about trying to crawl.
He has the best giggle ever, and I adore the little shriek that he gets if he finds something truly delightful.
He giggles when he sees its me coming into his room in the middle night instead of his dad (boy loves his mama!!)
And he is just the happiest baby ever! We are so lucky to have such a happy, giggly, smiley, adorable baby
My baby girl is a champion sleeper...she wakes just once to eat, at most, and sometimes not at all.
My baby boy is shaping up to be a wonderful big brother...yesterday when I was changing E he brought me a diaper. It was his diaper, but it's the thought that counts, right?
Cal is so sweet and funny and imaginative and loving.
This morning he was playing with a small, collapsable snow shovel we had inside. With his baseball cap on backwards. He'd scoop at the floor, then hold it up to me and say, "Found dirt!" "Found poop!" (not sure where he got this?) "Found snow!" Then he went over to his little kitchen and said "hot stove" and started to scoop inside the oven - he was imitating the way they cook pizza at a brick oven pizza place we go to.
The other day, he & his friend at daycare collided and he was hurt worse than she, but his first reaction was to say, "Willow?!" "Willow?!" to make sure SHE was okay...THEN he cried. Such a sweet boy.
He (for all intents and purposes) counted to 10 the other day. Blew us away. We don't try to "teach" him...I think maybe his babysitter does a bit, but otherwise, he just learned from his own observation.
On the way to his babysitter's this morning he said, "No Jude. Friday." Turns out Jude WAS there, but he's not there every day, so I guess Cal was thinking this was a no-Jude day.
Most of all, I just love listening to him form sentences. He is so deliberate when he speaks, and will pause sometimes before a word that he finds difficult to say. If we don't understand him right away, he doesn't get frustrated, he just calmly repeats himself and if we can't figure it out, he gives up without a fight.

Reed is talking in full sentences all the time now...And he is doing much better with pronounciation. For the longest time banana was neenana, now it is banana!! Since he is talking so much, he loves to give me reviews of what we did each day before bed. He will talk about little details like the sun is bright or the chicken was yummy. So cute!
Penny is starting to put together strings of words too. She has so many words I have lost count.
We have been doing more inside activities since the weather SUCKS. They both seem to love stickers, colouring, and playing with the chalkboard right now.

Maya has been saying Mama and said Dada yesterday, and she is ALMOST crawling. She'll get up on her hands and knees and move her hands forward a couple steps, she is so close. She is rolling all over the place and will pull herself up to standing in the tub and in her crib. She is a master at holding her bottle now and fake cries and coughs to get my attention. She sings along with music too or if I am singing. She has just had a boom of development lately!

We got our first belly laughs this week. Best.sound.ever!
He's also rolled over a few times, but I haven't seen that one yet. It's amazing how fast they change - I swear just over the past few weeks he's babbling a ton more, grabbing for things, and almost sitting up on his own. He also loves to stand with help!
I guess I'm just thrilled that he's meeting all his milestones for 4 months adjusted. I'm more in love every day, and so very thankful to have him!
