Cleaning a straw sippy cup

I only have one straw sippy because I feel like you can't really clean them very well.  Do you just use them for water?  Or is there a sippy with a straw that is easy to clean?  I have a hard enough time getting all the milk residue from whole milk off of the valves and parts of my regular sippys, that I just don't fell confident that the inside of the straw is actually clean with a rinse?

We only use straw cups for water. I worry about the same thing.

We used Dr. Browns bottles and they came with a tool to clean one of their parts that works perfectly for cleaning the straws.

I take the straws apart and throw them in the dishwasher.  They come out very clean.  I usually give them a quick rinse afterward to make sure all of the dishwasher soap is gone.  Ava does use them for milk.

We mainly use ours for water however like JillRock96, we take the straws apart and put them in the dishwasher and they come out suer clean.

Ahhh, I am the dishwasher.  And I don't have any jet action spray power so that would make a difference:)  LOL

I'm sure you're just as powerful as any dishwasher!  Maybe just soap them up well and rinse with hot water?
