Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Eating more at night?

Anyone else's LO seem to eat better at night?  It may be a stretch to say he eats more at night than during the day, but not by much!  He is in daycare and will typically eat 2 ounces in the morning and then maybe 3 later on.... for the 10 hours he is there!  I can usually get a decent bottle in him at night before bedtime, but sometimes it is a struggle.  He gets distracted, tired, etc.

Then when he wakes for the first time at night, he will finish a full 8 oz bottle and wake shortly after for another feeding. We've been giving him less later in the night, but he doesn't seem satisfied!  I'm sure he needs to eat more during the day.

I should mention that he's never been the best sleeper, but was doing really well up until about 3.5 months old when he started daycare.  I'm all about sleep training and love Dr. Ferber's book, but most of January we were sick with typical school viruses so were just surviving.

I'm just wondering if anyone is in the same boat. I get sleep issues, but not eating during the day does not seem to be helping any!
