  • And I thought snow in GA was a rip-off. Snow in Cali? Isn't that illegal?

It better or people will die.  It last snowed here when I was like 10.  I fully plan on not leaving the house until it's all melted.  I drove in the snow once when we were visiting DH's family on the east coast, it was not good.

OMG this looks like the street in front of my house.  But I signed up for it living in MN.  We Minnesotans like to dream of CA like a wonderous place of sunshine and rainbows and palm trees.... apparently that's not always the case?

Wow, we had 13 inches and everyone had to go on as followed. I still had to work.

It is the case about 80% of the time, but we get some pretty wet, rainy winters.  At least where I live in the Bay Area, in Southern California it almost never even rains.

  • We got 5 feet -- yep I said 5 feet -- of snow in 2 days back in December. This winter has been the absolute worst winter I can remember.

  • I live in LA, and they are forecasting snow for the San Gabriel Valley (which is where I live)! I've seen it snow here a handful of times. Once when I was in kindergarten, then when I was in middle school. Then when I went to my uncles wedding in Arizona, it snowed in Rancho Caucamonga (I totally spelled that wrong), where it was like an inch on the ground! To me that was amazing, it normally doesn't stick around, just melts as soon as it hits the ground.

  • Ah, if only mother nature cared whether or not you live in a HCOL area :)

  • Yeah, we live in Orange County and it's supposed to be freezing cold this weekend (quoted from Fox 11 News this morning).  I'm looking forward to wearing warmer clothes, since it is winter and all! Wink
