Re: Pregnant (& TTC) Check-in!
Congrats to magdalina.h and sweetpea18!!!!! Welcome to the world, Lucas and Grier!
I'm doing well, had a terrible dream the night before last that I was bleeding and couldn't get to the hospital, but last night's dream was much better - I dreamed the baby was moving all over and I could feel him and even see him on the outside! I'm planning to call the midwives later this morning, I think I might have a UTI. I keep having pain when I pee and I've been pushing cranberry juice, but that's giving me heartburn. I could just be dehydrated, though, I'm having a tough time remembering to drink enough while I'm chasing DD around.
Congrats magdalina.h! So glad to hear everything went well.
I had a great u/s yesterday. Baby weighed in at approx. 4lbs 3oz. putting him in 60% for weight and everything looked great. He was a bit uncooperative and didn't give us any good shots but they were able to get their measurements which is the important things. My bp was 118/80! My dr. is going to start me doing weekly NST just to keep an eye on things. It is hard for me to believe things are going this well. At this point in my last pg I was on bed rest and bp meds. However, we're still prepared mentally to deliver around 34 weeks since that is when both my boys were born. Every time I think about that and realize that is only 3 weeks away I kinda freak out. Right now I'm just taking it one day at a time trying to take it easy and not over do it. I went out w/ my mom and the boys on Monday and that caused my bp to be a bit on the high side so from now on I'll be taking it a bit easier and not having all day outings like that any time soon.
I hope every one else is doing well. T&P to those who need them.
Congrats Maggie and Sweatpea!!! So excited for you both!
Yesterday's appt was a bust
I thought it was scheduled for 2:30, but evidently it was at 2 so I was late (they called on Sunday and said 2:30??) and the tech fit me in but it was really rushed. The awesome news is that my cervix grew and is over 5cm!! Not sure how that is possible, but I'll take it. The baby was in a super weird position and she couldn't really make a good guess on the sex, so we'll wait until my 20w appt. It's funny - leading up to yesterday I was seriously so anxious to find out, but now that we didn't I'm kind of okay with it and don't really care anymore (not care about the baby, but care about finding out if that makes sense). It was just such a weird appt and this baby is teaching me that I also can't plan a damn thing when it comes to pregnancy
Need help with high fat food ideas? Chunky Monkey
Congrats Maggie and SweetPea!!!
I know I haven't really posted an update in a while but I have a good one! Alessa is moving off the CPAP to the nasal cannula on either Sunday or Monday and she had her first bottle feedings today. She's doing wonderfully. She's 4 weeks today and I can't believe it. I'm still having BP issues and my incision is healing ever-so-slowly. As long as Alessa is doing well, I don't care about me. The twins just got over RSV and they're doing much better.
Yay for all the good updates! Congrats to the new mommies and
to those of you still cooking.
No news is good news
Just chugging along here. I have decided for sure to stay with my OB, and plan on having a good chat with him further into the pg about my birth wishes. DH strongly believes he can help me advocate my wishes and that makes me feel alot better. Still considering getting a doula though.
My m/s seems to be getting a little better, it's more predictable if nothing else. And I seem to be getting a little bit of energy back. So knock on wood I think it all might going away. I'm also beginning to sport a little bump instead of just looking fat
Next appt is 3/2, which would have been my first 'real' appt. Then I'm telling everyone at work! They're the only people that don't know yet, and DS' daycare. I think I'm going to get him a big brother shirt to wear there.
I love seeing all these get post.
Congrats on our new arrivals :+)
Update: Temp been up since monday. Got an almost postitive OPK last night. Im having a really bad feeling this is not our month even though timing is still good. Guess i'll just have to wait 2weeks and see :+)
just hangin in there over here! i can't believe i'm 5th on the pregnant list! eek! we moved a few weekends ago (we sold our house and are in an apt until we build) and so i'm just trying to organize an entire 3 bedroom house into a 2 bedroom apartment, complete with adding another person!
my next appointment is 3/18 at 32w. my 32w appointment was the last one i made it to with DS. i went straight to the hospital from the appointment. i will be relieved to make it past that day.
A little late to the game here, but I'll check in anyway.
Congrats on the new babies, girls! Glad everyone's hanging in there for the most part.
I've got my last cervical lenth check scheduled for next Friday. EEK...it's going so fast. Everything's been looking good, though, so I'm staying positive. I think with all my free time (since I won't be going to the doc each week) I'll work on Parker's Big Boy room.
That should distract me a little.
Shots are still going well..no reactions whatsoever. I'm picking up some weight, and the baby bump is becoming a baby mountain. I still have an innie belly button though, so I haven't gone off the deep end...yet. ha ha With my preemie I only gained 17 lbs and I'm a little scared of having a full term baby with a few extra lbs on the baby and a few extra lbs on me...and a bigger head passing through the birth canal... But, I sooooo want a healthy, full term baby and I want to be able to bond with my baby right at birth, so I'll take whatever comes my way to get it. In the meantime, I bought into the hype and ordered a Hypnobabies Self Study course. Maybe that will help me with birthing a full term baby...
Congratulations on the birth of the babies!
I had my follow up appointment from 2 weeks ago with my high risk doctor. The babies heart looks great (they couldn't get good shots of it two weeks ago) and my cervix is between 4 and 5 so they are really happy with that. He wants to see me back in a month for another cervical check but doesn't think I will have any problems at this point. I will be 21 weeks tomorrow. At this point in my last pregnancy I had already been on bedrest for almost 2 weeks. I made it past my first two goals already- I am past the point where I had Pprom on Brandon's twin and past the point when I delivered his twin.
