XP: Spent Friday in L&D

I felt fine most of Friday, until the afternoon and then had some intense lower back pain, cloudy urine, and a fever. I called the OB, sure I had a kidney stone, so they told me to go to L&D.

VERY long story short, I'm dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced already, which freaked out the nurse...and me, of course! She literally said, "This is not good." I was only at a 1 and 80% effaced when I was induced to have Bennett, so I was scared and the nurse didn't make me feel any better. She told me to plan on bed rest

I got a shot to stop the contractions (which made me feel like I was on crack and needed to go sprint a few miles!) and she came in about a half hour later, telling me the OB wasn't concerned about the progression since I just had a baby 2 yrs ago. I guess it's common for a woman's cervix to still be soft.

Overall, I was there for about 6 hours and then they gave me the option to stay or go. Since the contractions slowed down and I didn't progress any further while there, I opted to go home.

My next appt is in a few hours and I'm really anxious to find out what's going on in there now. The good news is that both babies were super active the whole time I was being monitored. Both nurses said I had "happy babies"
