Dinner

Is anyone else having issues making out a dinner plan like I am?? I think of one thing in the morning and then by dinner time its not what I want. Hope you girls are having a better time then me. Oh yeah and forget red meat.

Re: Dinner

  • I have a hard time, so I cook whats on the plan for DH and I just eat oatmeal if I don't want whatever it is. And red meat is my only palatable protein, besides cheese. CHicken is gross now and I'm allergic to turkey and pork. I tried to eat fish last week and it didn't work, but i'll try again later. I'm getting tired of red meat.

  • I am exactly the same way!  I've barely even cooked dinner since January. I'm hoping now that I've turned the 2nd tri corner that I'll start to want to cook again.

Ditto on the red meat. ugg. so.gross.

  • I do. I feel bad since I can't eat red meat right now. Sometimes...I will still prepare a meal with red meat, but make myself something else to eat.
We have been eating a good amount of pasta and fish.

Do you know what fish you can and can't have?  Here is a web site that will tell you everything you need to know about fish.https://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/fishmercury.htm

I love me some cheese and I have also come to like mixed nuts yummy

  • I can never figure out what I want for dinner. I always thought I would crave things once i became pregnant.

  • I stick to the plan as long as I am not puking or dry heaving badly.  Usually by the time I actually make it, it smells so good that I am ready for it.

  • I have been having this problem too.  Lately we've been thinking up a few meals at a time and buying the ingredients, and then when we get home we pick which one we (and by we I mean me) wants to eat.  We also keep things like mac&cheese and canned beans and taco supplies in the house as options.  This has worked out pretty well, since we plan ahead, but each day isn't "set in stone" too early.
  • I used to LOVEEEE a good steak... I can't touch beef anymore.

Im ashamed to admit what a large role Pillsbury biscuits have played in my dinner plans for the past month.. it's all I want!!

  • I'm pretty much at my peak of gross feeling for the day right around dinner time. I'm a total loss when it comes to craving anything for dinner. I usually just want freezer pops to settle my stomach and a bowl of cereal to fill me up for bed.

  • I used to be so good at meal planning and that went out the window last month.  I've cooked MAYBE 8 times since January 1 when I used to cook atleast 5 nights a week.  Now I'm trying to think up 3 meals at a time and hopefully 1 will sound good come dinner...this is a new theory I started yesterday so we'll see if it works.  My poor kid probably doesn't remember what home cooking is because when we ask what she's hungry for its always a restaurant or fast food, LOL
  • I must give my DH lots of credit, he has been amazing!  He cooks dinner almost every night.  I have cooked twice this week, only because he hasn't been home early enough to cook.

Usually chicken is my #1 meat, I don't even want to look at it.  Steak, hamburger, venison, I can eat all day!
