the old bait and switcheroo

I just need to vent for a moment. Normally DH stays and works from home on Tuesday. This morning he got a call around 6am that he had to go in to open up the shop and do a few things and would be back by 9:30. He arranged it so I could drop DD off at his parents house at 9, until he could come and get her to bring her home. Well after having a sh!t morning myself (dealing with work drama) I got DD in the car, bring her to my in laws and when I pull into the driveway I notice that my FILs car is running. I go to the front door and ask if he is going somewhere. He tells me that since my BIL (who lives with them) doesn't have to be at work until 12 is going to watch her so he can go to work. (He owns his own small company, so if he is late it's not a biggie.) Now, as I write this I can see how it shouldn't be a big deal, but I hate it. If you say you're going to watch my daughter, I expect you to be the one. I know BIL wouldn't put DD in danger, but he is dirty. Like sneezing, or picking his nose, going to the bathroom and never washing his hands. He shot himself with his insulin the other day and he was bleeding and just wipped it with his hand and went on his way. LO is in the stage where EVERYTHING goes in her mouth, her favorite thing being someone elses finger. I did not want to leave her with someone who doesn't keep his hands clean. IF FIL would have told me these plans before I would have worked it out so I could stay home and wait for DH, but he pulled the old switcheroo on me. My BIL is brash, disgusting and has a potty mouth. I do not want him to be alone with DD. When I said something to FIL he was like "what? you don't trust him?" I told him I trust him, but he is dirty and explained my reasoning. I think he got the point and is staying until DH comes home. Oh, yeah, and then I call DH to tell him what's going on and find out where he is and he starts telling me he is swamped and will be there within 30-45 min. I get to work 45 minutes later and call to make sure he is on his way. Nope, he is not, he is still at work telling me that he is still swampped but leaving soon. I go and facebook, which being a good employee, I do every morning, and see that he posted a video at 9:45. WTH?? I called, i got upset, I hung up the phone on him. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

that would piss me off, too. at least your fil didn't argue and stayed with her.
